☎ Book a conversation →These terms explain how Speak to a Pilot intends to provide paid telephone consultations and professional CV writing services. They must be reviewed and completed before live bookings and payments are enabled.
Speak to a Pilot is a trading name of QVT Ltd. Company registration number: 14163647. Registered office: Suite 3, Second Floor, 760 Eastern Avenue, Newbury Park, Ilford, England, IG2 7HU. Email: hello@speaktoapilot.co.uk. Please contact us using the email above for questions, complaints or cancellation requests.
We offer private, one-to-one telephone conversations about aviation careers, training routes, airline recruitment and flying, as well as general explanations intended to help people understand air travel and professional CV writing. The services are informational and educational, based on professional experience. They are not regulated career placement services, flight instruction, official aviation training, medical treatment, psychological therapy or legal or financial advice.
We aim to provide impartial, practical advice. We do not guarantee acceptance by a flight school, licence eligibility, a job interview, employment, success at assessment, improvement in fear of flying, or any other particular result. Airline, regulator, training provider and employer requirements may change; customers should verify current rules and requirements directly with the relevant organisation before making decisions or financial commitments. We do not act for or make decisions on behalf of airlines, regulators or flight schools.
Current prices are shown on the Prices page and in the booking process in pounds sterling (GBP). Any applicable taxes or additional charges must be shown before checkout. A booking is confirmed only when we send a confirmation identifying the service, appointment date and time, and successful payment where required. A request, provisional appointment request or incomplete payment does not guarantee a booking. We will not store full card details; secure payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider once enabled.
Appointment times will be confirmed with the time zone clearly stated, normally UK local time (GMT/BST). Customers are responsible for supplying accurate contact details, including an international dialling code, and for being reachable at the agreed time in a suitable private environment. We will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the number provided. If the customer is unavailable or significantly late, the consultation may be shortened or treated as missed, subject always to applicable consumer rights and any circumstances reasonably outside the customer’s control. If we are late, we will make up the time or offer an appropriate remedy.
Customers may request cancellation or rescheduling by email at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. We will normally offer a rescheduled appointment or refund, as applicable. Requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment, or missed appointments, may not qualify for a discretionary refund or free rescheduling. This policy does not remove statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights described below. We will consider genuine emergencies fairly.
If you are a consumer purchasing online or at a distance, you will normally have a legal right to cancel a service contract within 14 days of the date the contract is made, subject to applicable exceptions. If you expressly ask us to start providing a service during that period and then cancel before it is completed, we may be entitled to a proportionate payment for the service already supplied, where the legal conditions are met. If the service is fully performed within the 14-day period following your express request and your acknowledgement that your cancellation right will be lost on full performance, that right may end. We will obtain any necessary express request and acknowledgement separately during checkout; merely accepting these terms does not provide that consent. We will provide the legally required cancellation information and a means of exercising your rights before purchase. Refunds due by law will be made within the required period using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
We may need to move or cancel an appointment due to illness, operational duties, technical failure or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer a suitable alternative appointment or a refund for the service not provided. We will not charge a cancellation fee when we cancel. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights if we fail to provide services with reasonable care and skill.
The £260 package includes three separate 60-minute telephone consultations. All three must be used within six months of purchase, and may be booked together or separately, subject to agreed appointment availability. We will make reasonable appointment availability available during the validity period. Please arrange appointments in good time. Unused sessions may expire at the end of the period, subject to statutory rights and a fair extension or remedy if our lack of availability or cancellation prevented reasonable use. If you exercise a valid statutory cancellation right after part of the package has been supplied, any permitted deduction or refund will be assessed fairly in accordance with consumer law.
CV writing packages are based on the information and documents you provide. You are responsible for checking factual accuracy, qualifications, dates and employment history before using the finished CV; we will not knowingly invent credentials or experience. Each CV package includes one reasonable revision requested after the first draft, within [REVISION REQUEST PERIOD] of delivery. Additional revisions or substantial changes to the brief may be quoted separately and agreed in advance. Estimated delivery dates will be confirmed when an order is accepted. CV writing does not guarantee interviews, offers or employment. Any statutory cancellation rights and the rules on early service performance apply equally to CV packages.
Fear-of-flying conversations provide general explanations of airline procedures, turbulence, weather, flight phases, training and safety practices. They are not medical, psychiatric or psychological advice, diagnosis or treatment, and are not a substitute for professional healthcare. If you have a health condition or severe anxiety, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional. We cannot guarantee that a conversation will remove anxiety or make a particular flight risk-free.
We treat conversations and personal information as confidential and will not disclose discussion content to unrelated third parties for marketing or other unrelated purposes. However, absolute secrecy cannot be guaranteed: limited information may need to be shared with contracted booking, communications or payment providers to deliver the service, or disclosed where required by law, to protect vital interests, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Any such sharing will be limited and governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. We will not record consultations without informing you and obtaining any consent required by law. Please avoid providing unnecessary sensitive personal information.
We expect respectful behaviour. We may end a conversation if a customer is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or seeks assistance with unlawful or unsafe conduct. Any refund will be assessed fairly in light of the service delivered, the circumstances and applicable consumer law. You must not misrepresent our advice as an official airline, regulator or training-provider endorsement.

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. We are not responsible for outcomes outside our control, such as airline recruitment decisions, flight-school decisions or changes to third-party requirements. Any other proposed limitation of liability applies only insofar as it is lawful, reasonable and fair to consumers. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Please email hello@speaktoapilot.co.uk with details of any concern. We aim to acknowledge complaints within [RESPONSE TIME] and work with you to resolve them fairly. Court jurisdiction is subject to applicable consumer protection law.
The version displayed and accepted at the time of purchase applies to that booking. We may update the terms for future purchases, but will not retrospectively change an existing contract without a lawful basis and appropriate agreement. Last updated: 20 October 2026.
